The men that I tend to meet seem to have a common thread: lack of awareness or caring about the effects of their actions on others. I don't suppose there is another website you could recommend that would yield men more suited to long term relationships?
Someone told me I should try Zoosk. What do you think of that one? I meet the same kind of men, and my picker is broken, so Idk, is your picker broken? Well, when they display this behavior, I reject them and don't pick them, so I think my picker is OK. The people I've ended up in long term relationships with weren't terrible people, so my picker can't be too bad. Are you waiting until men contact you, or are you reaching out?
I've met women who only do the former, then complain that they don't like the men they meet. Pick out profiles that look more empathetic and reach out.
Plus, make it clear that you're looking for a more mindful man. OK, this just looks obvious, but I'm going to toss it out anyway I usually wait for them to contact me because if I contact them, there is like zero interest on the man's part. It's interesting you say that though. The last person I did contact I ended up dating for about two months.
Better than my normal luck.
I have a theory that people paying to use a site are more likely to be serious about finding someone. I haven't actually attempted to test this theory, but I do have it, and that's the first step. Though that doesn't mean that they'd be any more likely to care about the effects of their actions on others, just that they're more likely to be looking for something serious. I have a friend who bought into this idea and is dating a girl off of Match.
Granted, he's chiseled out of marble, but still.
Waste of time. In my experience, most profiles on pay dating sites don't correspond to a person who's actually still currently ed up to the site and able to read the messages you're sending them. Will she drink him in or will she reject his advances? He's puckered and moving closer OH NO!! A huge Tired of okcupid for this man, how will he ever recover? How old are you looking? I don't think I really learned to be more considerate until I was in my early 30s.
I've got it set to 28 to 38 but the people who message me tend to be on the younger side. I recently turned I don't like dating 28 year olds really. Some 29 year olds have been ok. Can't seem to get much interest from attractive people over Don't go to zoosk, it's terrible. Their site is unusable unless you pay, they have fake profiles and they send fake notes. They also make you call if you want to delete your profile. Total bullshit site. Never heard of Zoosk. Go ahead and try it, why not. You can use as many different dating sites as you want.
My ex wasn't a bad person, but he had the empathy of a stump. Met him on OKCupid. Got some therapy after the breakup, went back on OKCupid, and first date was with someone very empathetic. I have no idea. It wasn't even on the list and I don't know how to consciously screen for that anyway. Pickers are weird.
